Dr. Roy Ruby served Mississippi State University proudly for forty years in a variety of positions. He was already serving MSU in Student Affairs prior to Dr. Jones' arrival and was one of the key leaders on campus who contributed to building the division. His steadfast leadership and commitment to the division spanned 17 years under the leadership of four different Presidents. He was a respected faculty member and helped establish the Student Affairs Master's Program at MSU. When he left the Vice President's position he served his final two years at MSU as the Dean of the College of Education.
*As a tribute to Dr. Ruby's legacy of respect and leadership, he was asked to return to MSU briefly in 2008 to serve as its Interim President.
